Hey folks, just checking in to provide an update. I’ll be at USF’s weekly media luncheon today (my first since taking over the beat) from noon to 2 p.m.
I’ll blog some of the more interesting tidbits from the press conference and will write a story for Wednesday’s Tampa Tribune this evening—subject TBA.
Former USF athletic director and Bucs Hall of Famer Lee Roy Selmon is the special guest at today’s luncheon. He’ll talk about being the first member of the Bucs Ring of Honor. Selmon will be inducted into the ring of honor on Sunday at Raymond James Stadium when the Bucs host the Packers.
Tribune columnist Joe Henderson is working on a story about Selmon that you can read later this week in the Tribune and on TBO.com.
In honor of Selmon, check this out:

Scott—welcome aboard! Bulls fans are blessed to have two major papers provide daily coverage about USF athletics. If you are looking for suggestions on what fans would like to see, I would recommend an update on USF’s facilities plans. We know that different companies have made presentations and bids so it would be interesting to find out what they have in mind. This may be easier once a contractor is selected but it would be great to get an update.
