University of South Florida men’s soccer player Dom Dwyer has been named one of 15 semifinalists for the Missouri Athletic Club’s Hermann Trophy, awarded annually to the nation’s top player.
Dwyer, a junior forward, was the Big East Conference’s offensive player of the year after leading the league in goals scored (16) and points (35). The award winner is determined by a vote of NCAA Division I coaches whose programs are members of the National Soccer Coaches Association of America. You can view short profiles of all the semifinalists HERE.
The Bulls season came to an end Sunday afternoon in Omaha, Neb., with a 1-0 overtime loss to Creighton in an NCAA tournament quarterfinal match.
NOTE TO READERS: I’ve got some vacation time that needs to be used and will be out of the office the next two weeks, so there won’t be as many regular updates on the blog during that time. Thanks to all for reading.
