You might not recognize him on campus the way you probably would Dominique Jones or B.J. Daniels, but I can promise that if you need a study partner for that Latin exam, USF soccer player Francisco Aristeguieta is your man.
We don’t give much love to some of the non-football and non-basketball student-athletes here in our litter corner of the blogosphere, but Aristeguieta deserves some recognition for being named Big East Male Scholar Athlete of the Year.
It’s the second consecutive year a USF soccer player has won the award. Zak Boggs took home the honor a year ago. That soccer team must really do its homework.
