The University of South Florida volleyball team did not qualify for this season’s Big East Conference tournament, narrowly missing the eight-team field after losing its final league game.
The Bulls lost Sunday at Pittsburgh, and the Panthers claimed the tournament’s final spot with the head-to-head tiebreaker advantage. It is the first time USF, which finished 7-7 in conference play, has missed the Big East tournament since 2005, the school’s first year in the league.
USF (11-16) has its final regular season game Wednesday at home against Florida A&M.
