Sorry to give you bad information the past few weeks but USF is no longer headed to the St. Pete Bowl.
My bad.
Instead USF will go to the magicJack St. Petersburg Bowl.
Read on: ESPN Regional Television announced today that magicJack Inc. has signed a one year agreement for the title sponsorship of what will now be known as the magicJack St. Petersburg Bowl.

Ken, magicJack.com is the company’s website if you really must know.

Suddenly, Poulan-Weedeater Bowl doesn’t sound so bad…Bell Helicopter has a nice ring…There you go Brett, have a contest to name the worst (real)sponsor possible, though the Mightly Mulla may have hit close already.

I am watching the Ball State-Western Michigan game on ESPN2 right now. About 10 minutes ago, I saw for the first time a commercial for Majic Jack. I said to my wife “if they are so good, how come I’ve never heard of them before?”
Well, at least they are branching out…

I’ve seen that magicJack commercial a lot.

majicJack?????????
Where are the great local sponsors with plenty of money? Why not these Florida based companies…
Hooters (obvious first choice)
ADT
Publix
Spirit Airlines
Office Depot
The St. Pete Bowl needs to do a better job next year of landing a long-term sponsor to really make this bowl work, change CUSA and the conference opponent for a better one and hopefully move up in the BE pecking order.

He can’t even spell the bowl game’s name right. Brilliant.

They should be grateful for ANY sponsor in these harsh economic times…and so should Bulls fans…having a local bowl for hometown USF to fall back with continuing disappointing seasons will come in handy.
