The University of South Florida men’s soccer team now knows its first opponent in the NCAA tournament. It is the team that knocked the Bulls out of the postseason last year.
USF will host UCF in a second round NCAA tournament match on Sunday at 6 p.m. at Corbett Stadium. The Knights defeated Florida Gulf Coast, 1-0, in a first round match Thursday evening to advance to play the seventh-seeded Bulls, who had a first-round bye as one of 16 national seeds.
This will be the first meeting between USF and UCF since last year’s NCAA tournament. The Knights defeated the Bulls in that first round match in Orlando, 3-0.
USF announced earlier this week that it offering free admission to Sunday’s match.
