The University of South Florida men’s soccer team suffered its first loss of the season Friday night, falling in overtime to Bradley, 2-1, in its first game at the Dartmouth Classic in Hanover, N.H.
Ashani Fairclough staked the Bulls, ranked as high as eighth nationally in one poll, to a 1-0 lead at the 16:57 mark of the first half when he headed home a corner kick from Ben Sweat. However, Bradley (4-0-1) eventually pulled even with less than eight minutes in regulation when Bryan Gaul scored on a penalty kick, and Jochen Graf then provided the winner in overtime.
USF (3-1-0) plays its final game in the tournament against host Dartmouth on Sunday.
