USF men’s basketball assistant coach Terrelle Woody is leaving the program to start a personal-training business that will include a heavy emphasis on working with Tampa Bay area players.
Woody spent two seasons on USF coach Stan Heath’s staff, serving as a video and conditioning assistant. Heath said Friday that Woody made the decision on his own.
Woody’s arrival in 2008 raised some eyebrows because of his past relationship with coveted forward Gus Gilchrist, who signed with USF at the same time Woody was hired.
