The USF men’s basketball team’s first postseason berth in eight years and an unexpected 20-win season has paid off for Stan Heath’s assistant coaches.
All three—Jeremy Cox, Reggie Hanson and Eric Skeeters—have received raises on their latest contract renewals.
Overall, USF is paying Heath’s three assistants $52,000 more than last season, with Cox’s salary going from $100,000 to $125,000 annually, and Hanson and Skeeters both jumping from $101,500 annually to $115,000.
USF finished 20-13 last season, including 9-9 in the Big East.
Heath has spoken recently about getting his assistants a pay increase. Former video and conditioning assistant Terrelle Woody, who made $30,000 annually, recently left to become a private instructor, freeing up some staff money.
Heath plans to fill Woody’s spot with an graduate assistant.
