The USF men’s basketball team will spend part of its Thanksgiving Holiday next season in San Padre Island, Texas.
The Bulls are one of eight teams competing in the South Padre Island Invitational. The field also includes BYU, Texas Tech, Liberty, St. Mary’s College, Georgia Southern, Chicago State and Mississippi Valley State.
BYU is perhaps the most proven team in the field, coming off a 30-6 season and returning three starters off a team that knocked Florida out of the NCAA Tournament in the first round, led by All-America G Jimmer Fredette (22.1 ppg).
