USF license plate sales: moving on up

USF continues to creep up the rankings in the all-important sales of Florida specialty license plates.
For 2008, USF ranked 41st of the 110 specialty license plates that are sold. The Bulls continue to slowly climb up the rankings. They were 44th in 2007 and 48th in 2008.
UCF – USF fans will be thrilled to know – ranked 40th in 2008. There were 15,060 UCF plates sold in 2008 compared to USF’s 14,718 (that’s a difference of 342 or about the total winning margin for the Bulls in the past four football games).
Unfortunately there’s no data on which school has the most alums actually making the license plates, but that’s a discussion for another time.
Anyway, here’s a look at how the state’s biggest colleges and Florida’s professional sports franchises ranked overall:

You mean USF’s plate was ranked 48th in 2006, not 2008.
