USF-KU moved to Friday; USF-UCF back to Saturday

USF’s home football game with Kansas has been moved up a day to Friday, Sept. 12, and will be televised on ESPN2 at 8 p.m.
Also, the USF at UCF game has been moved from Friday Sept. 5 to Saturday Sept. 6. Kickoff will be at 7 p.m. and it will be televised on ESPN2, UCF announced today.
“The change in schedule was done to accommodate an ESPN request,” UCF AD Keith Tribble said. “We expect that this Saturday night nationally-televised meeting with USF at Bright House Networks Stadium on Sept. 6 will be an instant classic.”
The change of the two games gives USF five ESPN/ESPN2 appearances, but also gives USF three short week preparations before playing Kansas, Pittsburgh and Cincinnati.
Here is USF’s updated 2008 schedule:
Aug. 30 Tennessee-Martin
Sept. 6 at UCF, 7 p.m. (ESPN2)
Sept. 12 Kansas, 8 p.m. (ESPN2)
Sept. 20 at Florida International
Sept. 27 at N.C. State
Oct. 2 Pittsburgh* (ESPN)
Oct. 18 Syracuse*
Oct. 25 at Louisville*
Oct. 30 at Cincinnati* (ESPN)
Nov. 15 Rutgers*
Nov. 22 UConn*
Dec. 6 at West Virginia * (ESPN/ESPN2)
*Big East Conference game

Good deal on both. We won’t have to fight Mickey Mouse traffic on a Friday night after leaving work early.
“instant classic” he says?!?! More like “instant embarassment”. I bet the UCiF faithful will be getting DVDs made of yet another UCF “moral victory”.
I can’t wait to see George O’Liar throw his team under the bus again!

instant classic, just like USF’s 64-12 blowout last season, good comments on their ADs part, UCF hasnt beaten USF in any of the 3 years

As a USF fan I beg people to stop beating up on the UCF football program, and their fans. Would you make fun of a child with a disability? I don’t think so… and yet, making fun of UCF people is even worse.
