A lot has changed for the USF football program recently, but the inaugural season of the Skip Holtz Radio Show and USF football games will air on WFLA 970-AM.
WFLA 970-AM has been home to USF football since 2005.
USF announced Friday that it has finalized a two-year contract extension with Clear Channel Communications network. The school has an option for a third year during the 2012-13 USF sports calendar.
“Our broadcast agreement with Clear Channel is vital to USF Athletics and the branding of all of our teams, especially for our football and men’s basketball teams,” USF athletic director Doug Woolard said in a statement. “We are proud to be partnered with the industry leader in our market, and we know that our fans will enjoy the increased visibility that Clear Channel is providing in this deal.”
As part of the deal, all USF basketball games will air on WDAE 620-AM unless there is a conflict, and then basketball games will move to WHNZ 1250-AM.
The deal also includes Clear Channel running weekly three-minute USF reports that will be aired throughout the network in the morning and afternoon drives times.
The gameday crew of Jim Louk (play-by-play), Mark Robinson (analyst), Jim Lighthall (pre-and-postgame host), Mike Pepper (sideline reporter), Justin Pawlowski (pre-and-postgame analyst) and Nick Quartaro (pre-and-postgame analyst) will return again for the 2010 football season.
