In USF’s first seven practices of fall camp, first-year coach Skip Holtz raved about the energy level and effort the Bulls showed.
Following Wednesday’s practice, Holtz changed his tone a little. He said the Bulls hit a wall and it showed with the most sluggish practice of camp thus far.

Once you spend enough time in the Florida heat, you don’t so much get used to it as much as you aren’t surprised by it anymore, and you learn to get through it. It’s the same with cold weather. But the heat fatigues you more; the cold weather inhibits you more. So I’m glad we hit the wall, and can now move on. It’s not a wall that stops you, it’s a level you work to and then get beyond.
