USF has announced that its baseball program will not offer camps this summer.
And Bulls baseball coach Lelo Prado couldn’t be happier.
The reason is because construction is scheduled to start this month on USF’s new baseball stadium, which is set to be ready by the 2011 season opener according to school officials.
USF finished a disappointing 26-32 season with a loss to Louisville early Saturday morning at the Big East Tournament in Clearwater.
Prado, who took over the program four years ago, has looked forward to a new facility to replace the modest “Red’’ since he arrived.
