SYRACUSE, N.Y.—The University of South Florida’s lead has been cut to 7-6. Syracuse place-kicker Ryan Lichenstein just added a 20-yard field goal with 10:09 remaining in the second quarter.
Orange quarterback Greg Paulus is 9-for-15 with 135 yards.
For USF, redshirt freshman quarterback B.J. Daniels is 4-for-8 with 40 yards. RB Mike Ford has rushed four times for 38 yards and the game’s only touchdown, a 26-yard run.
USF 7, Syracuse 6 with 10:09 left until halftime.
