A rugged first half here at the Sun Dome is over, and USF leads Central Michigan 31-30.
The Bulls limited Central Michigan to 36.7 percent shooting (11 of 30) and forced 10 turnovers, but in their first game without injured F Gus Gilchrist, the Bulls often struggled to find a rhythm on offense.
Junior G Dominique Jones led USF with 13 first-half points, and G Chris Howard added six.
USF fell behind 14-6 before coming back to regain the lead.
