The first half of the International Bowl lacked much offense.
The best line at halftime here in the press box at the Rogers Centre came from a Canadian reporter covering the game: “I thought Americans knew how to play this game.’‘
Here are some halftime stats:
First downs: USF 6, NIU 7
Rushing: USF 13-(-3), NIU 18-40
Passing yards: USF 98, NIU 101
Total yards: USF 95, NIU 141
USF quarterback B.J. Daniels was 7 of 12 for 98 yards; he was also sacked four times. Mike Ford led the Bulls in rushing with one carry for 18 yards.
