For the second time in two years, USC has set their sights on a Alonso defensive lineman.

The Trojans made a formal offer to Ravens defensive end Anthony Chickillo on Monday. Former Bucs defensive coordinator Monte Kiffin, now with his son Lane at USC, called last week expressing an interest in Chickillo. Two years ago, USC tried to recruit Alonso defensive tackle Demonte McAllister, who eventually signed with FSU.
Just like McAllister, the offers are poring in for Chickillo. USC is the 23rd school to offer Chickillo a scholarship. Among his other offers are Florida, Florida State, Miami, Tennessee and USF.
Chickillo led the Ravens last season with 12.5 sacks.
