B.J. Upton’s arbitration hearing began at 2 p.m. Friday at the Renaissance Vinoy in St. Pete and lasted nearly four hours.
Each side had an hour to state its case and 30 minutes for rebuttal.
The three-arbitrator panel is expected to announce its decision Saturday.
Upton was seeking a $3.3 million contract for the 2010 season.
The Rays offered $3 million.
