Plant was without two of its starters as they began preparations for Bradenton Manatee.
Starting middle linebacker Mike Mirabella and running back T.J. Glover did not practice Monday. Mirabella was out with the flu, while Glover is recovering from a shoulder sprain and hip flexor.
Plant coach Robert Weiner said he expects both to play in Friday’s Class 5A State Championship Game in Orlando. Glover, who got banged up during the Panthers 20-0 victory against Lakeland last Friday night, will play with some extra padding on his shoulder.
