On Saturday afternoon against South Tampa rival Robinson, Plant senior Stan Rowe had a big game with a pair of three-run homers in the Panthers’ 18-0 rout.
On Monday evening against Chamberlain, Rowe delivered an encore performance - with two more three-run homers in Plant’s 10-0 victory over the Chiefs.
Rowe’s homers came in his first two-at bats Monday - the first to right and the second to center. Plant coach Dennis Braun said Tuesday he couldn’t remember another Plant player having multiple homers in consecutive games during his tenure.
Rowe has been on a tear most of the season. He was hitting .438 entering Monday’s game, and he increased his home run total to seven and RBI total to 25. Both his homer and RBI totals are county bests.
Plant travels to face Alonso tonight.
