USF WR Carlton Mitchell made history tonight becoming the first - and likely last - Bulls player to send a message via Twitter from the locker room before the game.
Mitchell “Tweeted” the following his cell phone at about 6:30 p.m.: “Lil weather delay sittin n the locker room still… so ready man I need 2 get out there. I understand the man upstairs run the show tho”
Unlike the NFL, the Big East does not have a rule prohibiting Tweets from coaches or players before or during games.
Kickoff for USF’s game with Wofford was moved back to about 7:30 because of weather.
