Q: What’s up, Big Marcus? Is the training on the show as hard as all the fighters say it is? And how would somebody go about getting on the show? Thanks.
Brodie Michael Trahan, Lafayette, La.
A: The training on the show for me was a lot harder than I anticipated. I have had 17 surgeries in my career, plus I am an older guy. I didn’t know how my body would respond on a daily basis to constant two-a-days, but it was a great experience and I learned a lot every day. I really improved as a fighter.
Realistically, the best way is to show your face at the tryouts. As an unknown fighter should have three fights under his belt and whomever they put you up against, you have to dominate. I make it sound easy, but it really is what has to be done to make an impression.
