Gaither tight end Marcus Brown, Jesuit offensive lineman Cameron Ruff, and Tampa Bay Tech wide receiver/defensive back Richard Benjamin have been named to the 58th annual Florida Athletic Coaches Association North-South All-Star Football Classic.
All three players were named to the South squad for the game, which is slated for Dec. 19 at 6:30 p.m. at Fireman’s Field in Sebring. First held in 1949, the event is one of the nation’s oldest high school all-star games. The game had a five-year absence in the early 2000s but resumed in 2005.
