Meghan Keough’s older sister Kayli was a big help during her recruiting, having been through the process herself.

The former Land O’ standout basketball player liked Meghan’s decision to commit to UCF so much, she’s decided to join her. Kayli is transferring from FSU to UCF, her mother Lisa Keough said. Meghan, an incoming senior at Tampa Catholic, committed to UCF two weeks ago. The Tribune first reported her commitment.

Kayli’s transfer will rejoin the sisters for the first time since Meghan’s freshman year and Kayli’s senior season when both played for Land O’ Lakes High. Kayli was a highly recruited player, earning All-American honors and offers from several Division I programs, including Iowa, Kansas and Vanderbilt. She became FSU’s first commitment in 2008.

By transfer rules, Kayli will have to sit out a year, but will be eligible to play in 2011 when Meghan enrolls as a freshman.
