NEW YORK—The Rays will have another arm available out of the bullpen tonight and moving forward, as Dale Thayer has been recalled from Durham today.
Thayer has had a couple of stints with the Rays this season—one with mustache and one without—and posted a 3.52 ERA in six appearances, picking up one save along the way.
The right-hander spent a good chunk of the year as Durham’s closer, going 2-5 with a 2.27 ERA and racking up 17 saves.
