Ten area players earn preseason All-America honors

Ten high school baseball players from the Bay area were recognized on the 2010 Rawlings/Perfect Game High School Senior Preseason All America Team.

Tampa Catholic’s Shane Rowland, Jesuit’s Daniel Gibson and Brandon’s Roderick Shoulders were the top honorees; each was a third-team selection.

Meanwhile, Alonso’s Thomas Dorminy, Gaither’s Drew Doty, Brandon’s James Ramsay, Armwood’s Zack Powers, Brooks-DeBartolo’s Kelvin Mention Jr., Clearwater Central Catholic’s Preston Packrall and Land O’ Lakes’ Jason Garcia were recognized on the High Honorable Mention list.
