Tampa Catholic girls basketball Nancy Kroll is a finalist for the 2010 Florida Dairy Farmers Girls Coach of the Year award.
Kroll was named the Class 3A Coach of the Year by the Florida Dairy Farmers, making her eligible for the overall title. The winner, along with the girls Miss Basketball, will be announced early next month.

“That feels awesome,” Kroll said. “I quote Dick Vitale all the time, “it’s awesome baby.” I couldn’t do it without the players. They make my job very easy.”
The longtime girls basketball advocate helped lead the Crusaders to the 3A state basketball championship last month. It was the first girls state basketball title in Tampa Catholic history. The Crusaders will be honored tonight at the New York Yankees game.
Last year, the Lady Crusaders became the first in school history to advance to the state final four.
