The stock of Tampa Catholic junior running back/linebacker continues to rise. After an impressive performance at the Under Armour Combine at the IMG Academies in Bradenton, Joyer had been invited to the next Max Emfinger All-American Bowl Game Classic, slated for Jan. 8, 2011 at a site to be determined.

Joyer impressed coaches and college scouts alike at the Under Armour Combine when he turned in the top performance in the bench press: 34 reps at 185 pounds. Incredible, yes, but the 6-foot, 245-pound Joyer is a former age group world record holder in weight lifting with a max bench of 485 pounds. Joyer also finished second in the powerball test.
According to his father, Jack Joyer, Hunter has not yet accepted the Emfinger offer. That’s primarily because Joyer is hoping to receive offers from the Army All-American Bowl and Under Armour Bowl. Those could be rolling in soon as Joyer heads to the University of Florida’s sumer camp June 12 in Gainesville, as well as camps at the University of North Carolina and Georgia Tech. To date, Joyer has one scholarshp offer, from University of Louisville, where his older brother, Kamran Joyer, is an offesnive lineman.
