Tampa Bay Tech offensive lineman Kilu Fontaine, a Tampa Tribune all-Hillsborough County honorable mention selection, as well as an all-FACA district team pick, has committed to Tennessee State, Titans head coach Jayson Roberts announced Monday morning.
Fontaine (6-foot-5, 262 pounds), was part of TBT’s offensive line that helped the Titans go 8-4 and produce more than 4,000 yards of offense last season, including an average of paved the way for an average of 215.3 yards rushing per game.
Fontaine played for Middleton his junior year but transferred back to TBT, where he started his prep football career, for his senior season. He was one of about a half dozen Hillsborough County players chosen to compete in the recent Blue-Grey National All-Star Classic high school game played at Raymond James Stadium.
