Tampa Bay Tech wide receiver Charles Davis, one of the Titans’ leading receivers last fall, has made a commitment to play for NAIA program Quincy University, Titans coach C.C. Culpepper announced Thursday.

Despite TBT featuring a run-oriented offense, the 6-1, 180-pound Davis hauled in several key receptions for the Titans last fall and, along with C.J. Jackson, was one of their primary deep threats. Davis was also a starter on the TBT basketball team, averaging more than six points per game.
“The thing Quincy coaches are going to learn about Charles Davis is that he is a hard worker—one of the hardest working kids I’ve ever been around,” Culpepper said. “I think when he gets into an offense that throws the ball more, he’s going to surprise a lot of people with just how good of a receiver he can be.”
Culpepper said Davis is one of several area players Quincy will sign as a result of the recent recruiting fair at East Bay. Joining Davis at Quincy will be Hillsborough receiver Dixon Phillips and Countryside quarterback Jimbo Chmelik.
