Tarpon Springs’ wide receiver Dondre Daley has committed to Iowa State, according to Daley, who visited Iowa State over this past weekend.
Daley visited the Cyclones, who this past Friday knocked off then BCS No. 2 Oklahoma State 37-31 and felt very welcomed and at home with his visit at Iowa State.
The Cyclones were the third school to offer Daley, who had other offers from Gardner-Webb and Southern University. This season, the senior wideout helped lead the Spongers to a 6-4 record and caught 42 passes for 684 yards and scored 10 touchdowns. During the regular season, Daley missed two games vs. Dixie Hollins and Northeast after having his eligibility at Tarpon Springs questioned after transferring from Anclote during the summer.
Last season at Anclote, Daley put together a solid junior season, even though trying to battle through several injuries and nabbed 18 catches for 353 yards and one score.
