Tarpon Springs wide receiver Dondre Daley received his first NCAA Division I scholarship offer from Iowa State Wednesday morning, according to Daley.
The fleet footed senior wideout has had a stellar season with the Spongers, after transferring from Anclote as Daley has hauled in 21 catches for 412 yards and had a team-leading eight touchdowns. Daley has also rushed for 79 yards and one score.
A week ago Daley was cleared by the Florida High School Athletic Association to return to action after having to sit two games due to questions to his eligibility playing at Tarpon Springs.
Last season, Daley was hampered by injuries but was still able to notch 353 yards receiving off 18 catches and one score. He also added 61 yards rushing and a score. Daley received mild interest from BCS schools in the preseason, including visits from North Carolina State, USF and Florida.
