Tampa Prep’s Krueger commits to Virginia Tech

Tampa Prep junior outside/right side hitter Katie Krueger has verbally committed to Virginia Tech, former Tampa Prep volleyball coach and current athletic director Mike Flynn announced on Tuesday.
This past season, Krueger (6-foot-2) helped the Terrapins reach the Class 2A state semifinals and finished the season with 281 kills, 57 blocks and 82 digs.
A three-year varsity member, Krueger has played on two state semifinalist squads at Tampa Prep (2008, 2010) and the 2009 state runner-up team, when she finished the season with 115 kills and 60 blocks.
Krueger was named to the All-Hillsborough County Volleyball Team this past season.
