Florida Dairy Farmers recognized players and coaches from the Tampa Prep boys and girls and Wharton boys state soccer championship teams.
Tampa Prep senior forward Chelsea Klotz was named the Florida Dairy Farmers Class 2A Girls Soccer Player of the Year. Klotz finished the season with 60 goals and 15 assists, leading her team to a 26-1-1 record and the Class 2A state title.
Tampa Prep senior midfielder Ryan Griffin was named the boys 2A player of the Year. Griffin finished the season with 17 goals and 15 assists, helping lead his team to 27-2-2 record and the Class 2A state title. Wharton senior midfielder Matt Montgomery was named the boys 5A Player of the Year. Montgomery finished the season with 10 goals and four assists, helping lead his team to an 18-5-2 record and the Class 5A state title.
Meanwhile, Tampa Prep girls coach Pam Smith was named 2A Girls Coach of the Year, Tampa Prep boys coach Jose DaCosta the 2A boys Coach of the Year and Wharton boys coach Scott Ware the 5A Coach of the Year.
All players and coaches are finalists for the overall player and coach of the year award.
