The Tampa Catholic Lady Crusaders want you to think pink Friday night.

In an effort to raise awareness and money for the Kay Yow Breast Cancer Awareness Foundation, the Crusaders are trading in their green garb for pink warmups and shoelaces when they take on district rival Academy of the Holy Names. Crusaders cheerleaders and dancerettes will also be donning pink outfits.

Donations will be accepted at the door with the goal of raising at least $1,000 for the foundation. Kay Yow is the former North Carolina State head coach who succumbed to cancer last year.

Also on Friday night, Tampa Catholic will be honoring the girls program for its history making season last year. A new banner will be raised in the gymnasium recognizing the Crusaders trip to the Final Four last season, a first for the girls program at Tampa Catholic.
