PITTSBURGH—The No. 20-ranked Pittsburgh Panthers are making it look easy so far.
On the first play of the second quarter, Panthers quarterback Bill Stull found wide receiver Jonathan Baldwin, who made a nice adjustment on the ball and beat Jerome Murphy (what’s new?) for a 40-yard touchdown pass Pittsburgh assumed a 14-0 lead against the University of South Florida Bulls.
Stull is 8-for-8 for 114 yards and two touchdowns.
Pittsburgh is trying to go 7-1 for the first time since 1982, which was Dan Marino’s senior season.
So far, Stull looks like Marino.
