Strawberry Crest’s Channer picks Jacksonville

Strawberry Crest’s Brandon Channer has verbally committed to Jacksonville University.
Last season as a starter on the Class 4A state semifinalists Blake Yellow Jackets team, Channer (6-foot-3) averaged 14.8 points and 6.7 rebounds per game. Channer played a big role in helping lead Blake, the top-ranked team in 4A entering the state tournament, to the Final Four in Lakeland.
Channer transferred to Strawberry Crest before the start of the school year.
