The Tampa Bay Storm is offering free admission and reduced prices on food for the team’s preseason home game March 26 against the Orlando Predators.
The game will be held at the St. Pete Times Forum. Gates open at 6 p.m., with kickoff set for 7:30.
“This game is a tremendous opportunity for some of the players to make a final push to earn a spot on the opening roster,” Coach Tim Marcum said in a statement. “They won’t get a better test than going against our biggest rival, the Predators. Additionally it gives us a chance to get back in front of our fans. We sure have missed playing arenaball in the St. Pete Times Forum these past two years.”
Fans do not need a ticket to enter (they are asked to enter through Gates A and B), and seating will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
“It will be run basically like an open house,” according to Storm media relations director Jim Robinson.
Many concession items will be offered for $2, including hot dogs, hamburgers, soda and beer. In addition, players and cheerleaders will hold an autograph session after the game, while Marcum will host a skills challenge for fans.
Single-game tickets and season-ticket packages also will be sold at the game.
This is the Storm’s only preseason game. Tampa Bay begins the regular season April 3 at Tulsa.
