Prior to the Storm’s final game of the 2008 season against Los Angeles, the team handed out its yearly awards, which are voted on by the Storm’s players and coaches.
Here are the list of winners. The awards were presented to each player during the Surge Fan Club banquet, which was held in the Forum’s XO Club.
Offensive Player of the Year – Hank Edwards
Defensive Player of the Year – Tim McGill
Rookie of the Year – Tyrone Timmons
Special Teams Player of the Year – Sedrick Robinson
Lineman of the Year – Tim McGill
Ironman of the Year – Lawrence Samuels
Ben Thomas Award – Lawrence Samuels
Most Valuable Player – Torrance Marshall
