Steinbrenner’s Wilkins to sign with Fisk

Former Steinbrenner standout softball catcher Anna Wilkins, who is completing her senior year earning university credits at Hillsborough Community College, will sign a scholarship May 9 with Fisk University, her father, current Hillsborough softball coach Mitch Wilkins, announced Tuesday.
Wilkins is being recruited by Fisk as a catcher. She has also played extensive travel ball with the Lutz Lightning.
In athletics, Fisk is an NAIA school that competes in the Gulf Coast Athletic Conference.
