Steinbrenner’s Diaz commits to Jacksonville University

Former Steinbrenner second baseman Christian Diaz committed to play at Jacksonville University according to Warriors coach John Crumbley.
Diaz hit .349 this season with 17 runs scored, 18 RBI and one homerun for the 17-7 Warriors.
Diaz was a three-year starter at Steinbrenner with a career .380 batting average and was also class president.
“Christian is a tremendous young man who as a three-year starter,” Crumbley said. “He was the perfect kind of player to help us start a program here at Steinbrenner.”
