State Volleyball: Plant wins 6A title

LAKELAND The No.7 nationally-ranked Plant volleyball team defeated Winter Park, 25-13, 22-25, 25-19, 25-13, Saturday to win its first 6A title, its fourth straight title, and the program’s ninth overall. Its also Plant’s seventh this decade.
Maddie Martin had 22 kills while Alex Johnson had 20 kills. Becca Howard 40 assists. Ali McCurdy 23 digs.
Plant’s four straight titles is the second most current streak in Florida volleyball. The streak now ranks fourth all-time. With title No. 9, Plant moves up to fourth all-time in Florida volleyball history.
