It’s been a long process for former Clearwater Chargers standout Korey Veeder, but the U.S. Under-18 international finally appears to be making headway towards launching his professional soccer career in England.
Through its Baltimore-based sister club Crystal Palace Baltimore, English Championship side Crystal Palace had spotted Veeder when he was a 15 year-old, but due to issues getting a work permit to join the London club’s Youth Academy he wasn’t able to make the move. Since then he continued to work and stay in touch with CPB, currently preparing to play in the USSF Division II along with the FC Tampa Bay Rowdies, working out with the side for the past two months with a view of joining the parent club in England and becoming part of their Under-18 program.
In this short interview with USSoccerplayers.com, Veeder talks about what he hopes will lie ahead if he gets the opportunity to make the jump to England.
