Spoto sophomore guard Chelsea White has been selected to the USA Junior National Basketball Team.
White will play in an international competition July 19-25.
Last season, White helped lead the Spartans to the playoffs for the first time in school history. White led the team with 7.5 assists and 2.8 steals per game. She also was the team’s third-leading scorer with an average of 11.6 points per game.
Spoto coach Mareka Davis said White has been opening some college coaches eyes. Georgetown has shown a strong interest in her and with the selection to the U.S. team, many more are sure to follow.
