Q: At the combine Antonio Cromartie’s cousin, Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie, was the star of the secondary, running a 4.33 and showing footwork few cornerbacks have shown in years. Should the Buccaneers pencil Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie in at No. 20 in the draft? Or will he already be long gone by the 20th pick?—Joel Schaffer, Belleair Bluffs
A: CB is definitely a need position, with Brian Kelly moving on to another team, but my best guess is the Bucs draft for offensive speed in the first round—either WR or RB. That’s their No. 1 priority and I think they feel they can get a decent nickel back later in the draft or in free agency.

I’m glad Mr. Kelly aka I get hurt too much is gone. Phil Buchannon played better and for less $$$ remmeber Tanard Jackson used to play corner in college he can go back to it.Just a thought. Draft WR, Tackle,DB. At RB will be fine.

He was picked second; we picked fourth. Receivers take a few years to develop, so unless you happen to hit on the second coming of Randy Moss you shouldn’t expect much right away. I was all for taking DeSean Williams until I learned that he’s only like 5’8” 167 lbs. I think corner is a far greater need than RB, because we’re going to need to replace Barber soon and you’d rather not do that with a rookie. RB’s can usually start right away, so that can wait because we have two pretty good ones already on the roster. You can also usually find a good one in the second round, whereas as good corners are typically gone by then.

Sign Samuel and draft Hardy and Chris Johnson with first two picks!

How is it everyone still think the bucs are going after a rb in the draft. there are 4 rb under contract right now. Unless graham is going anywhere, we need to let this idea go. Caddy, Graham, bennett and Darby are under contract. How are these sports writers not figuring this out? Bennett is there speed in the backfield. WR help is not the biggest need. why draft receivers who have the same attributes as players on your roster? Think before you write! Cb will be the first pick. Thank you.

PUUUULEEEEAASSSE. Unless something seriously wrong happens, a RB with game breaking speed won’t be around at No. 20. Same for a top flight WR which is always a risky pick at No.1. Remember last years Calvin Johnson. don’t think he made the type of impact he was expected to in his first year and he was picked fourth I think.

Need a big speedy receiver with hands and a smash mouth cornerback. Allen, try to improve on what you have please. Trade all the QB’s except the starter and first back-up. I am sure Parcels would take Simms if the price was right.
