Second of all…

Calling Gaines Adams a bust makes you not a true football fan. Mario Williams didn’t start off fast for the Texans, but he is proving his worth this year.

He is making plays. He blocked the PAT that could have helped us get back in this game. So be quiet, Gaines will be a great Buc for years to come.

Clayton is the only bust that has been drafted, but the best GM’s ever have drafted busts. Bill Cowher drafted busts, and he was a coach forever.

So get over yourself, a team isn’t just the flashy players that make the stats, its every last guy on the roster. We need a LT just as bad as a WR. So learn your football before you post where the world can see.

Cadillac Williams, a bust, whatever man.  Michael Clayton is looking like the conventional bust but he’s still got time to prove himself, we’ve all seen his ability.  As for Gaines, hey man, he’s been good at everything except pass rushing (which IS what we need) but it’s difficult to play against professional tackles, who are much better than college tackles.  Just give Adams a couple of seasons before you call him a bust.

Well, Chris Simms may look good to some franchises right now like Arizona, Miami, KC, Chicago, Carolina. Some of these may be a longshot (Larry Johnson,but doesn’t look like Larry cares to much for KC or the coaches anymore). But here is a shot, running back by committee with Cadillac and Ronnie Brown, reunited. I guess I could settle with seeing Deangelo Williams leave Carolina. Something needs to happen, and soon, or we might as well start looking for mister Heisman. Lets face it how often has a preseason master (Graham) or late round draft pick (Darby) RB really been a season saver. Lets just hope that we get our grievance pay from the Plummer blunder to support a new RB. That is just the rantings from a guy who doesn’t own the team.

Adams is not a bust he is showing signs of progress & his pass rush is Improving.We don’t throw to Clayton.The Cadillacs absence yesterday validates his value to the team.Our opponets have to game plan for him…proff of that 10 yards rushing on 11 attempts by running backs yersterday.What was a bust the game plan!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Did Clayton even play yesterday.  I wasn’t even drinking and I don’t recall his name being called once. What a loser.  The Bucs are probably glad they kept Darby.  The OL was back to the paper mache line. The D looked like Bend & Break. Let’s face it: the AFC is light years ahead of the NFC.  The Bucs had a wake up call.  It doesn’t get any easier.  After Sunday, they’ll be 3-4 and looking for solutions.  Galloway drops a key 3rd down pass that changed the game. The only two good players on the field yesterday were Garcia and number 28, who knocked the SNOT out of Davis and then made an INT.  That hit made it worthwhile, suffering through the entire game.

Okay, first, please stop harping on folk’s grammar..this isn’t English class.  Second, the Colts are just a lot better than everyone.  If you’re freaking out over yesterday’s loss, you truly don’t understand football.  There are 2 teams right now that could actually go to Indianapolis and have a remote chance at beating Manning and the Colts..Dallas and the Pats.  No one else in the league is even close. There’s probably a lot of things that could have been done differently yesterday, but the start was too slow and the D had no idea what to do with the Colts at the start and in that environment..you get what you got yesterday.  Bucs recover next week with another solid win at home.  GO BUCS!..and go away doomsayers!

Harris where did you go to school.  Even if they lose on suday they will only be 3-3.  As for the rest of you who said that caddy shouldnt be starting and we should be starting graham, you should be careful what you wish for.  EG didnt do a thing.  at least with the caddy in there they have to respect him and it opens up our pass.  EG cant even compare to the caddy and unless we find another RB soon our season is done.  The upside is the second half of our season is a lot easier.  We might be able to win our division but we wont go anywhere in the playoffs.

the poor rushing stats have a lot more to do with the o-line (petitgout) than it did with williams…the defensive scheme was predictable (may be dungy pulled a belichick)...on the bright side atl., no, both lost…arizona is in the hunt in the nfc west, they might be in the market for a qp after sunday…so are the 49ers…i hope the bucs take a look at arkee whitlock (rb/s. illinois) who rushed for 999, 1455, & 1828 in college…he currently is on the practice squad in minnesota…

Micheal Harris, How are the Bucs going to be 3-4 after next Sunday? They are 3-2 now, will they lose two games to the Titans? We just lost to the best team in the NFL, the Colts also have the best QB, to read some of these statements you would think the season is over. There are 11 games left to play folks, with a weak NFC South, I like our chances.

We are 3-2 and in 1st place in a 2 team race. With Delhomme’s injury, we have a great shot to win the South. It’s funny to read these posts each week. As soon as we lose, the boo birds come out with stupid comments like Adams’ being a bust after his 5th game. Face it, you are rooting for the team to fail (as opposed to analyzing objectively). He blocked a PAT and had a pressure. The momentum really changed when Galloway dropped the ball allowing Indy to get a FG before the half. If we drive for a FG, its 13-10 at the half. With the grade school logic you employ, why didn’t you say get rid of Galloway? Forget that he’s the best WR in team history. Get a life Matt. I’ll take a 9-7 division title any day.

The scariest part about watching yesterday’s game, besides the fact that there was NO pass rush, was that for the first season that I remember, Brooks was being targeted by an offense.  I never thought I’d utter the words that the greatest Buc ever is slowly becoming a liability.  When I was watching tackles and coverage, I noticed Ruud around the ball on every play the way Brooks used to be.  I noticed tackles that used to be made he whiffed.  I noticed passes that would have been picked in earlier years, become completions by quicker players.  How do we walk the tight rope of saving the dignity of my all-time favorite, but also putting the best players on the field?  I’d hate to see him disrespected how Quarles was.

I agree with kendall but whats scarier is that after this season is over cato june could leave because he didn’t play as much as he should,the bucs only signed him to a one year contract.
Clayton will benefit the bucs this week by trading him,trading deadline is near and the game against the colts showed our true color.Bucs need another widereceiver and antonio bryant is still sitting out there.This guy is big and fast-another deep ball threat.

What I was most disappointed with was the running game!  The Colts DON’T have a good run defense, and we are SUPPOSED to have a good run offense.  THEY STOPPED US COLD!!!  It wasn’t Pettigout as one said; most of our yardage recently has come off the left side with Pettigout making good BACKSIDE blocks.  Penn did a pretty good job at this, we just were getting nothing off the right side where we usually go.  Sometimes we opened lanes, but the linebackers were defeating the blocks put on them and filling the holes.

I also disagree that we had no pass rush.  Almost all patterns run were very short ones.  For the amount of time Manning took throwing, we actually did o.k.  In this instance, it was the secondary who was a TOTAL failure.  They secondary was playing off the receivers the entire game, even tho the Colts were just running quick outs and ins and Manning was just dropping back and throwing quickly.  NO PASS RUSH CAN GET THERE THAT QUICK!!  Also, how can we just keep leaving the rb open over the middle time after time??  It got completely predictible, but still we couldn’t stop it.

Michael Harris is a moron, plain and simple.  He NEVER has any interesting to say and he ALWAYS gets stats mixed up, very much like Roy Cummings.  Bucs are in trouble on the ground.  EG is NOT the answer that all you yahoo’s thought he was going to be after the NO game.  He has not speed to get to the outside, didn’t move the pile at all yesterday and has little or no elusiveness.  Like I said, he’s a good special teams player that should not be starting.  That being said, we need to make a deal to bring legitimacy to our running attack.  Darby, a practice squad survivor and EG will not instill any fear in our opponents and Garcia will be on the verge of many blitzes until we can find a way to run the ball.

There were some quick routes being thrown…true.  But there were PLENTY of intermediate routes that we got NO jump on at the line of scrimmage.  Even though WE ran several short routes (all day) Indy was still able to get pressure even though they DIDN’T get the sack.  No bumps on the short kept Peyton’s timing dead on, but we just got plain beat on several plays. The corners weren’t too hot, but the safeties played solid.

To the clown who said the Colts have no run d, if research serves me correctly, the Colts have given up an overall average of 95 ypg during the 06’ postseason and thus far this year. This places them in the top 37th percentile of the league in run defense. In case you don’t understand, that means 63% of the league gives up more yards on the ground, this noteably includes the Bucs. Furthermore, in the 06’ postseason, the Colts gave up an average of 82 ypg. The only team better was San Diego, who gave up an average of 50 yards only because they played ONE game! Its only fine to generalize when you have substantive information to back it up. Give credit where its due, you got shut down by a GOOD run d.

My apologies to the blog.  I was wrong.  The Bucs will only be 3-3 Sunday night;  BUT THE NEXT WEEK, they’ll be 3-4.  Whew…I feel better now. LOL.  Hey by the way, Jerry Wyatt, your Cowpokes are getting the puke knocked out of em tonight by the LOWLY Bills.  Romeo, was just intercepted for the fourth time in the first half.  The AFC is SO superior to the NFC it’s not even funny.  Sheeeese I wonder if the best NFC team could even beat Miami.  Just a thought for you Bucs fans.  The Bucs need a bye REAL bad.

O.K. Nick, here are some specifics; last year, without Sanders, the Colts gave up 175 yards rushing per game!  Sanders DID NOT PLAY Sunday!  Yes they are very good against the run when he plays, but he was not out there.  You are right, they played very well against us….we also stunk up the place with our blocking of their small d-line!
