Riverview junior center fielder Brianna Bell has committed to Mississippi State, Riverview coach Angela Slater announced in an email Thursday morning.
Bell, a Tribune All-Hillsborough County first-team selection, helped the Sharks reach the Class 6A region final with 35 hits, 28 runs and 17 RBIs while batting .438. She also owned a .955 fielding percentage with 39 putouts.
Bell will join her older sister, Brittany, who will be a senior at MSU.
Elsewhere, some recent graduates have decided where they will play collegiately. Bloomingdale’s Hannah Hensley will play for Manatee Community College while teammate Destani Frye will join pitcher Kaylyn Camacho at Hillsborough Community College; Gaither senior Courtney Owens has signed with Warner University (NAIA), and Plant City pitcher Megan Still, who went 11-4 on the mound with a 1.00 ERA and 102 Ks, will sign with Central Florida Community College.
