Strictly Soccer’s Tarik Salkicic has been called into the U.S. Under-17 National team squad to compete in this weekend’s Nike Friendlies in Phoenix, Ariz., Strictly Soccer Director of Coaching Hans Burt confirmed on Thursday.
Salkicic, who also plays for Lakewood High, has been with the St. Petersburg-based club for the past seven years, currently playing on the boy’s under-16 side, and will join Fusion Futbol Club player Atsouh Ayah in the squad. The U.S. is scheduled to play Portugal on Friday night, followed by Brazil on Saturday and Holland on Monday.
All three U.S. games can be seen on Fox Soccer Channel, with each game kicking off at 9 p.m. EST.
